Jean Luc Thunevin is now a central figure in Saint-Emilion, but nothing could have predicted his great career.
From being a lumberjack, to a bank clerk and a DJ, he finally opened a « bric-a-brac » shop in Saint-Emilion at the end of the 80’s. He then got involved in the wine industry when he opened a wine bar that soon became the place to be in Saint-Emilion.
Over the years, he bought several other properties like Clos Badon in St Emilion, Clos du Beau Père in Pomerol, le Domaine des Sabines in Lalande de Pomerol and a very nice property in Maury in the Languedoc-Roussillon.
In 1988, Jean Luc Thunevin created his own wine merchant company THUNEVIN SAS, which handles the distribution of Jean Luc Thunevin’s wines from Bordeaux and the Roussillon. It also carries a large range of carefully selected wines from Bordeaux sold in exclusivity as well as the major Bordeaux Classified Growths.
